Blacklist of China
China announces the creation of a “blacklist” of companies deemed “unreliable”. Directly targeted is the United States, whose companies that do not honor their contracts with Chinese groups may be punished.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced on May 31, 2019, that the government was going to put in place a blacklist listing foreign companies that are “not trustworthy”. Gao Feng, spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, said: “foreign companies, organizations, and individuals who do not obey the rules of the market, who move away from the spirit of a contract, who impose embargoes or stop supplying Chinese companies for non-commercial reasons and seriously harming their interests and legitimate rights will be placed on a list of unreliable entities “.
China counterattacks after Huawei case
A decision that comes in the context of a fierce trade war between China and the United States . Since the sanctions against Huawei, tensions have never been stronger between the two giants. In addition to this blacklist, China is also preparing other actions. As of June 1, 2019, new customs banners will be applied on certain American imports for example. China is also considering depriving the United States of raw materials .
It remains to be seen which companies could be placed on this famous list. We can think of Google, but the Mountain View firm has given back its Huawei Android license and has reinstated the Huawei Mate 20 Pro on the Android 10 Q program temporarily. We also know that China is developing its alternative OS to Windows , to prevent its army and its agencies are spied by the US. Microsoft could be concerned, especially since it has dismissed Huawei from its partners. It is also expected to know what consequences await the companies on this list.
